GiGwi Place Luxury Dog Bed with Removable Washable Cushion - Round or Square

The GiGwi Place Luxury Dog Bed with Removable Washable Cushion is the dressier end of the Place range -- a water-resistant faux-linen bed in round or square, with a cover and cushion that both come out for washing. The fabric is chosen to look like furniture rather than like a pet bed.

Key Features

• Removable cover and cushion: Both come off and go in the machine, which is what keeps a bed usable for years.
• Water-resistant faux linen: Shrugs off a spilt water bowl or an accident rather than soaking it up.
• Round or square: Round suits a dog who curls; square suits one who sprawls into a corner.
• Two colours: Blue or mustard, in a fabric meant to sit in a living room.
• Three sizes: Small, medium and large in both shapes.

About the GiGwi Place Series

Place is GiGwi's bedding and pet furniture line -- cushions, mats, bolster beds and cat houses, sold in several styles, sizes and colourways so you can match the shape to how your pet actually sleeps.

Round Or Square?

• Round -- for dogs who curl up tight and press their back against a rim.
• Square -- for dogs who stretch out, and for fitting into a corner or against a wall.
• Watch your dog sleep for a few nights before you choose. Most people guess wrong.

Choosing A Size

Measure your pet asleep in their favourite position, not standing, and add a few centimetres. A dog who sleeps stretched out needs a flat mat; one who curls up tightly is better off in a bolster or a hooded bed.

Good To Know

• This one is out of stock at the moment, so the page is here for reference while we wait on the next delivery.
• Water-resistant is not waterproof. It buys you time to mop a spill up, not a bed you can hose out.
• Wash the cover on a cool cycle and air dry it. Hot washes and tumble drying shrink the cover and flatten the filling, and a shrunken cover will not go back on.
• Wash bedding every week or two, more often for a dog with allergies or a skin condition. Bedding is where flea eggs and dust mites collect, so it matters more than most people expect.
• A bed is not a chew toy. Puppies and determined chewers will open a seam and swallow the filling, which is a genuine blockage risk, so supervise a new bed before you leave a pet alone with it.
• Not a children's toy. Keep it with the pet's things.
