Choosing A Size

Measure your pet asleep in their favourite position, not standing, and add a few centimetres. A dog who sleeps stretched out needs a flat mat; one who curls up tightly is better off in a bolster or a hooded bed.

Good To Know

• Wash the cover on a cool cycle and air dry it. Hot washes and tumble drying shrink the cover and flatten the filling, and a shrunken cover will not go back on.
• Wash bedding every week or two, more often for a dog with allergies or a skin condition. Bedding is where flea eggs and dust mites collect, so it matters more than most people expect.
• A bed is not a chew toy. Puppies and determined chewers will open a seam and swallow the filling, which is a genuine blockage risk, so supervise a new bed before you leave a pet alone with it.
• A bolster bed holds more heat than a flat mat. In a warm room, give your pet an open option as well.
• Not a children's toy. Keep it with the pet's things.
