PURINA PRO PLAN Healthy Start Sterilised Kitten is a complete dry food for kittens that have been neutered, covering 3 to 12 months of age. Salmon is the first ingredient at 18%.

Two ingredients earn their place here. Dried colostrum at 0.1% is the first milk a queen produces, naturally rich in antibodies, and Purina's own research on 24 kittens over 44 weeks recorded an immune response up to 50% higher with it. DHA at 0.3% is the omega-3 that builds brain and retinal tissue, which is why it matters far more in a kitten than in an adult cat.

At 43% protein this is the highest-protein food in the Pro Plan dry cat range, which is what a growing kitten needs, while the sterilised formulation keeps the calorie load appropriate for a neutered animal.

High quality salmon (18%, including head, bone and meat), rice, dried poultry protein, wheat gluten, pea protein, animal fats, corn protein meal, corn starch, minerals, wheat, dried egg, protein hydrolysate of animal origin, preservatives, yeast, amino acids, vitamins, fish oil, dried colostrum (0.1%).

Feeding Guide

Daily amounts by age.

• Feed little and often. A kitten's stomach is small, so several small meals suit it better than one or two large ones.
• Kibble can be softened with a little warm water for very young kittens.
• Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
• Move to an adult sterilised food at around twelve months, transitioning gradually over about 7 days.

Storage

• Reseal the bag after each use and store in a cool, dry place.
